What are the most common forms of administration?

When it comes to medical cannabis, the choice of administration method greatly depends on the country. In Italy, there are essentially two main methods: inhalation and oral administration

Oil: This is the most common therapeutic form, which is essentially an oily extract obtained from the female cannabis flower.

Resin: This is also another option, with a significant therapeutic potential 60 times more concentrated than oil.

Dried flowers: Dried flowers can be consumed in several ways but are commonly consumed via a vaporiser during inhalation.

Gastro-resistant decarboxylated capsules: In this form, capsules are activated through a heating process that makes them ready for oral administration. The capsules are gastro-protected to allow cannabinoids to pass through the acidic environment of the stomach unchanged and thus carry out their therapeutic action.
