The Expert’s Voice ep. 7 and 8

What bureaucratic requirements do potential pharmacists have to meet in order to start with medical cannabis galenic preparations?

To produce cannabis, a pharmacy must have an equipped and certified laboratory. Once this is established, it must manage cannabis through the registration of intake and outflow. This involves complex management, especially for small quantities, which discourages many pharmacists from undertaking this type of preparation. Furthermore, strict controls by the authorities are quite frequent.

Are there raw material/product testing procedures and what certificates are potentially needed?

Every batch of cannabis flower must arrive at the pharmacy with analysis certificates conducted by the producing company, similar to all pharmaceutical-grade active ingredients.
